When a day takes an unexpected turn. Two years ago, Tracey's husband told her he'd found a stray dog outside his workplace.
Not wanting to leave him outside, he told his wife he was bringing him home so they could look after him temporarily.

At home, the dog struggled to come inside. "I don't know if he'd ever been indoors before, because he just froze... It was almost as if his paws didn't know what they were touching," the couple explained to The Dodo.
The couple did everything they could to make the dog feel comfortable. They first gave him a bath to get rid of his fleas, then gave him a space of his own.
Very shy, the dog refused to come out. It was thanks to Sissy, the family's other dog, that Buddy began to settle into the home.
"Buddy was just lovely and affectionate, once the shyness and uncertainty started to fade."
Today, Buddy is doing very well and continues to thrive with his family.
