Fortunately, cat lovers came to the tomcat's aid.
But sadly, when the rescuers arrived on the scene, Musso kept his distance.
A fearful cat
He didn't want to go into the trap cage and always managed to outsmart the rescuers' "tricks". Eventually, a local resident who had been feeding Musso gradually gained his trust. It was simply by speaking to him gently and offering plenty of good food that Musso found the courage to approach her one day.
He let himself be carried in her arms, as if he was finally ready to start his new life. The rescuers from Chatons Orphelins Montréal then took over to get him to safety.
Bon appétit!
Aged around two years, Musso arrived at the rescue with an enormous appetite... He loved tucking into the lovely meals served by his rescuers, after those long months spent on the streets searching for food. With the help of his foster family, Musso adapted to the comfort of family life. He learnt to play, discovered the joys of catnip and claimed all the scratching posts in the house.
Each day, he comes out of his shell a bit more, transforming into a very affectionate cat who loves snuggling up against his humans. The tomcat is finally living the life he deserves and is ready for the next chapter: finding his forever home!
