As reported by People magazine, Mara and her family decided to embark on a road trip across several American states.
No turning back
On Instagram, the mother shared that the journey was going brilliantly. They'd already covered 100 miles.
However, the road trip took an unexpected turn after a stop at a petrol station. The father discovered their cat was on the roof of the van. There was no way they could turn back.
The family decided to buy essential supplies at a pet shop and continue the journey with the cat.
An unexpected adventure
Throughout the trip, the moggy enjoyed the journey with his humans. As the mother told CBS News: "The cat had a brilliant time and lived quite an adventure."
