Nothing is too much when it comes to saving a puppy.

A couple didn't hesitate to spend thousands of pounds to bring a puppy back from Mexico. As reported by the BBC website, Kathryn and David were volunteering at an animal sanctuary in the Yucatan jungle when they met a three-month-old puppy.

£3,000 in veterinary costs

The couple quickly fell in love with the puppy. They simply couldn't leave him behind in Mexico.

The man and woman, who decided to name him Dennis, set about making the necessary arrangements to bring him back to England.

A new life in Peterborough

In total, the couple spent nearly £3,000 on veterinary and transport costs. Today, little Dennis lives in Peterborough and is getting used to a different way of life, including sharing his home with the couple's two cats.
