Loki, a five-year-old white and ginger Domestic Short Hair, was last seen in Mallory Close at around 2.30pm but failed to return home that evening.
His owner, Heather Cross, has offered a £200 reward for information that leads to his safe return.
Member of the family
Heather explained that Loki is more than just a pet. Adopted from Devon Cats Protection, he helped her cope with the heartbreak of an ectopic pregnancy and has been her “faithful little friend” ever since. “We are very closely bonded,” she said.
“He’s sweet-natured but takes time to trust strangers. We’re worried he might be shut in somewhere or travelled in a van to an unfamiliar place.”
Desperate search continues
Loki, who has two younger kitten siblings, is not wearing a collar, which could cause confusion if he is mistaken for a stray. Heather has distributed leaflets, spoken to neighbours and launched appeals on social media in the hope that someone will spot him. She urges anyone in the area to check sheds, garages and outbuildings.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
