Volunteers from the Stray Cat Club charity in England were called to help a stray cat.
As reported by LoveMeow, the cat in question was spotted meowing in a wasteland.
Neighbours who saw her wandering decided to help. After checking, the animal wasn't microchipped and nobody was looking for her.
A big surprise
Named Lavender, the grey cat arrived at the shelter skin and bones. She suffered from multiple health issues that required two weeks of care.
Little by little, the volunteers noticed the cat had gained a lot of weight. At the vet's, they discovered that Lavender was expecting kittens.
Placed in a foster home, Lavender could rest and carry her pregnancy to term. A few weeks later, the cat gave birth to seven kittens.
A devoted mother
Lavender adores her kittens and takes wonderful care of her babies. In a few days' time, the baby cats will open their eyes to discover the world.
