So from time to time, Martin likes to pick up his guitar and play a bit.
A real guitar string
While Martin was at his girlfriend Jessica's house, their cat Boo felt like having a sing in the living room. The nine-year-old cat is quite the chatterbox and loves to meow to make himself understood.
When he heard him, Martin had the idea to imitate the cat's meow on his guitar. He thought the meow sounded remarkably like a plucked guitar string!
An unlikely duo
In the video below, you can see Boo sitting and meowing towards the camera. Then the camera turns to Martin with his guitar, who perfectly mimics the meow. What follows is a duet between the two, where Boo starts the meow and Martin responds on guitar! While Jessica is in stitches behind the camera, Boo doesn't seem to understand why Martin keeps copying him...
The video quickly went viral with over 28 million views! Viewers loved the duet and had fun imagining the cat's thoughts: "Mum, he's just copying me!" Or: "OK, but he's got a really good musical ear!" We were also amazed by the cat's musicality!
