Feline takeover
She had to leave town for a family emergency, entrusting their care to her adult son.
Curious and slightly anxious about leaving the animals, she tuned in via her security camera. The view revealed eight cats comfortably sprawled across her bed, with more nestled around the room. Her April 28 video shows the heartwarming scene just before she gently greeted them through the camera’s microphone.
“Hi, babies,” she said. Instantly, every cat lifted its head in unison, scanning the room to find the familiar voice. A few even emerged from hiding.
Happiest when cuddling
“Most of them are from feral colonies,” she later explained. “They’re happiest when cuddled up together.”
The video quickly went viral, gaining over 6 million views and more than 1.3 million likes. Viewers were captivated, not just by the sheer number of cats, but by the serene atmosphere they created.
