The family consisted of a mother cat and her four tiny kittens.
The rescuers knew they had to act quickly to bring them to safety.
A trusting mother
The mother cat was very sweet and affectionate. She allowed the rescuers to pick up her kittens and move them to safety. Upon examination, they realised the little ones were in quite poor health. The entire family was suffering from an upper respiratory infection.
The mother cat, later named Daisy, was taking excellent care of her kittens and grooming them regularly. Unfortunately, this was reinfecting them each time. The rescuers had to make the difficult decision to separate the mother from her kittens to allow them all to heal. They took on Daisy's role, feeding the tiny cats by syringe.
The end of the ordeal
Once the kittens were back on their paws, they were reunited with their mum at the Cool Cat Collective, a gallery and shop. This unique place provides a home for cats in need, with every sale from the shop helping to fund their care and supplies.
In this warm and relaxing environment, the kittens' personalities began to shine through. They could play to their hearts' content, eat their fill, and curl up for a nap in their cosy basket. The best news of all is that the entire family has now been adopted into their forever homes! They are enjoying a comfortable life, relaxing in the warmth after their difficult start on the streets.
