Indy from London, who shared the experience on TikTok (@indipine), explained that a tabby cat wandered into her home while she was collecting a food delivery.
"I don't have a cat... who is this?" she joked in the video, which has since been viewed over 668,000 times.
Unexpected guest
The uninvited guest made herself at home, curling up on the sofa and later snuggling into Indy’s lap during a film. What began as a comical surprise soon took on deeper meaning: the encounter gave Indy the courage to enjoy her first night alone following a traumatic break-in the previous week.
“I was too distracted by the cat to feel scared,” Indy said. “Helping her back over the wall in the dark didn’t even worry me.”

Though the mystery cat vanished into the night around 11 p.m., the emotional support she provided lingered. “It felt like the universe knew I needed her,” Indy said.
Social media users hailed her experience as a ‘short-term cat loan’ from the “cat distribution system.”
