The footage, posted on the second anniversary of O’Grady’s death, captures him expressing heartfelt thanks to voters for an award, surrounded by his cherished dogs.
O’Grady, best known for his drag queen persona Lily Savage and presenting For The Love Of Dogs, died at 67 from a sudden cardiac arrhythmia at his Kent home on 28 March 2023.
Heartbreaking clip
In the 35-second clip, he cradles his dog, Eddie, while thanking supporters of his children’s book, Eddie Albert and the Amazing Animal Gang.
