Cinnamon and Minnie have always shared a strong bond, but nobody knew how the devoted Goldendoodle would take to the arrival of three new kittens.
But while some dogs may show signs of jealousy, Minnie did quite the opposite!
Standing guard
Sweet Minnie stood guard over Cinnamon as she gave birth, gently comforting and supporting her friend.
Once the kittens had arrived, she showed no signs of giving up her position, patiently watching over the new family of four.
"Minnie is like a proud sister", explained their owner Dee Marie on Instagram.
"Best thing I have seen today"
The clip, which has now been viewed over 100,000 times, shows Minnie resting peacefully next to the litter. So respectful, she never even tries to touch or move them.
"Animals know how to love and be better than most humans", commented a viewer.
"Best thing I have seen today", replied another.
