Amanda, travelling home from a client’s house in a rural area, noticed a small creature darting through a field.
Without hesitation, she asked the Uber driver to pull over so she could investigate.
Surprise discovery
Stepping out, Amanda discovered a scruffy kitten, alone and covered in fleas. The kitten, clearly in need of help, approached Amanda without hesitation, soaking up the affection she’d long been missing.
“She’s the sweetest baby,” Amanda later shared on TikTok. “She’s covered in fleas but otherwise seems OK. And she’s riding so well in this Uber!”
Life-changing Uber ride
The kitten’s journey to safety continued as she snuggled up to Amanda for the hour-long ride back to the city. By the time they arrived, Amanda knew she couldn’t part with her new furry companion.
Amanda’s experience rescuing animals, thanks to her mother’s past work with a cat rescue, made the transition seamless. Her two pit bulls welcomed their new kitten sister with open paws, solidifying her place in their home.
“She’s really the sweetest,” Amanda said, overjoyed at the unexpected addition to her family. From a lonely field to a loving home, the kitten found her happy ending.
