The day started out like any other for a couple and their canine companion, as they made their way to the car to go for a walk.
But shortly after they arrived at the car, their dog began whining. And he just didn't stop.
A hero with four paws
The couple tried distracting and reassuring their pup, but nothing seemed to help.
He was clearly trying to tell them something, they just had no idea what he could see...
Having searched the car as best they could, the couple decided to take more drastic action.
"He wouldn't stop whining, so we decided to spray it with a hose", his owner explained on TikTok.
The tiny creature in hiding
As soon as they sprayed the car with water, a tiny creature jumped out.
At first glance, the ball of black fluff could be any number of little animals. But as the camera zooms in, it's clearly a kitten. Confused and disoriented, he had become stuck in the car engine.
The couple may not have been in a position to keep the kitten, but for one TikTok supporter, it was love at first sight.
Thanks to the heroic efforts of this couple and their puppy, he will now have a loving home of his very own.
