Le refuge des Sakuras in Haute-Saône France specialises in rescuing Japanese breeds in need.
They work hard to find the right families for the dogs and cats they care for, creating profiles for each animal which they then match up to prospective adopters.
A shocking turn of events
When Izanami found her home, the team were thrilled. After years being used for breeding, the sweet dog deserved nothing more than the love and comfort of a family.
So imagine their disappointment when she was brought back, just 2 days after she first went home.
Conflicting information
To make matters worse, the couple couldn't seem to agree on the reason behind the Izanami 's return. Each adopter had a different story, and sadly, the one who suffered was Izanami.
With most dogs taking many weeks or even months to settle into their new homes, it's no surprise the poor girl was confused and disoriented.
The rescue shared the heartbreaking story to their Facebook page, in the hope that the right person will now come forward.
They describe Izanami as a sweet dog who loves cuddles and attention. She just needs someone patient and understanding, to help with her housetraining, and a home with no other pets.
