CeCe, known as @bun3yg1rl on TikTok, posted a video showing Delilah "making biscuits" on her abdomen, which has accumulated 1.1 million likes and 3.7 million views.
Soothing paws
Delilah's soothing behaviour involves a kneading motion with her paws like kneading dough.
CeCe, who suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and fibroids, explained that Delilah instinctively responds when she's in pain, applying gentle pressure on her abdomen, which helps ease her discomfort.
PCOS and fibroids are both reproductive health issues that cause significant pain and other challenging symptoms. CeCe's video shows that despite their reputation for being elusive and rather narcissistic, cats can be much more empathetic than they are given credit for.
Feline nurse
The viral video prompted a flood of responses from others sharing similar experiences with their cats. One user related, "I have PCOS & my cat does this for me too," while another shared how their cat helped alleviate a migraine.
Delilah, found by CeCe on a North Carolina island in August 2023, has remained a loyal companion ever since.
