In the early hours of February, Liam was woken at 3 a.m.
He lived alone with his cat, but from the noises coming from the living room, somebody was in his house.
Night-time intrusion
Gathering as much courage as he could muster, Liam followed the sound of voices.
The living room was lit up, and his feline friend was happily relaxing on the sofa. It quickly dawned on the relived owner that the entire set up was actually his cat's doing!
The unlikely culprit
His cat, it turned out, had turned on the television by walking over the remote control on the sofa, at which point he simply settled down to watch a programme.
The contented cat looked outraged and confused. Why was his human suddenly turning off the television?
"Actually terrifying", explained Liam, as he shared the clip to TikTok. While he may have been terrified, the video had cat lovers around the world in stitches.
"The way the cat looks at you as if to say 'Shouldn't you be in bed?", commented a viewer.
"Shh. His show is on", joked another.
