Animal rescuer Josiane Lúcia De Almeida da Silva received a distress call about little puppies abandoned on an isolated dirt road by an illegal rubbish site.
Desperate pleas for help
These three little puppies had just been left to fend for themselves.
When Josiane approached, it was as if the puppies realised this was their one and only chance to be rescued and nervously emerged from their hiding place. It took a few moments for the puppies to overcome their initial apprehension, but when they did, they bravely signalled their desperate need for help.
Josiane didn’t think twice about taking on the care of the canine trio. With the support of vet Clarissa Castro Braga, Josiane made sure they had all necessary vaccinations and deworming treatments and fed them nutritious meals.
Bright future ahead
It’s unknown who abandoned the puppies, but it’s clear that they didn’t expect the pups to ever be found. Fortunately, thanks to Josiane, these puppies will never lack love and care again.
With time and plenty of TLC, the puppies recovered from their ordeal and could finally look forward to a bright future.
Once they were all fit and healthy, Josiane and Clarissa organised an adoption event at the vet clinic, which led to each puppy finding a loving home.
What a wonderful ending to a sad beginning.
