Little Korto had spent the previous 12 long months at the shelter without finding a home. But fate would intervene.
Unexpected twist
The shelter had shared several posts online about Korto, hoping that someone would come forward to adopt him. But sadly, no one ever did.
But then the shelter took a call from a family who believed that Korto was their missing dog, which had disappeared around 12 months ago.
To their amazement, they’d not only found Korto a loving home after all this time, but it was HIS loving home.
Happy reunion
The shelter shared the surprising turn of events on their Facebook page, expressing both joy and disbelief at the unexpected reunion. The touching post detailed Korto's journey from the shelter to his home, where his owner was thrilled to have him back.
The shelter explained that while Korto (real name Pimpuś) was a little confused at first, he eventually realised that the lady was his owner and he couldn’t hide his delight.
While it's a wonderful happy ending for Korto/ Pimpuś and his owner, it also provides a stark reminder of the importance of microchipping your pet.
