For most owners, learning that their dog has a condition such as leishmaniasis, which can cause symptoms like weight loss, skin problems, lethargy, vomiting and reduced appetite, would be devastating.
Heartless owner
Most responsible and loving owners would do everything possible to help their canine companion and give him the best life possible.
But tragically, that’s not what happened to Obelix. Despite years of affection and loyalty, his owner callously put him on the street, refusing to pay for the veterinary care he desperately needs.
Fortunately, Obelix was eventually found and rescued by the ASELA association.
Hope for Obelix
Despite his mixed breed and medical condition, Obelix is an endearing and affectionate dog, ideal for a family seeking a loyal canine companion. He thrives on attention, enjoys playful walks, and would fit well into a household with respectful children.
Sociable with non-dominant dogs but unfamiliar with cats, Obelix’s upbeat nature and enthusiasm for life make him a joy to be around. However, after enduring such cruelty, he deserves a home where he will be cherished and showered with affection for the rest of his days.
Obelix eagerly awaits finding a family who will give him the love and care he deserves and appreciate his boundless love and faithful companionship.
