However, Pippy seems to have embraced her new living situation a bit too comfortably.
Taking advantage
With no job or savings, Pippy has not made any financial contributions to the shared expenses of groceries and utility bills, leaving Jessica to cover everything.
Pippy's sense of entitlement has reached a point where she expects all amenities without making any effort. She hasn't offered to contribute to household chores, leaving dishes for Jessica to clean up.
When Jessica has visitors over, Pippy makes no effort to stay out of the way. She will insist on hanging around and staring at guests as if passing judgment on them.
Feline freeloader
While Jessica works hard to cover their expenses, Pippy enjoys a leisurely lifestyle, often occupying shared spaces for hours. Jessica has even found her sitting in the bathroom sink.
But Pippy is no ordinary lodger. She’s a cat.
Despite not pulling her weight in traditional lodger responsibilities, Jessica values her presence as payment enough. So, while she may be a feline freeloader, Pippy has found a permanent place in Jessica's heart, and her companionship is a more than adequate "rent payment".
