When she was first found, Buba was in a terrible way. Very badly matted and underweight, she collapsed once she got to the building site.
When construction workers found her, they feared the worst. Unable to get back up, it was clear she needed urgent help. They called in the Polish rescue group OTOZ Animals, who immediately took her into their care.
A remarkable discovery
When the rescuers arrived, they could see that Buba was in a very bad way. They believe she had most likely been kept chained up somewhere, and had managed to break free from the deplorable conditions she was kept in.
Under all the matting, they discovered she was actually a Tetra Sheepdog, often used as a watchdog in Poland. Strong, quiet and gentle dogs, poor Buba was a shadow of her former self.
New Beginnings
Under the rescue's care, Buba has taken huge steps in her recovery, gradually gaining strength. Her matted, discoloured coat is gone, and in its place, is the soft white fur typical of her breed.
Once Buba is ready, OTOZ Animals will begin the search for the perfect home. Affectionate, playful and intelligent, we have no doubt this beautiful girl will make a wonderful addition to her new family!
