Guanajuato in central Mexico is a popular city for tourists, with many impressive buildings to visit and photograph.
Family photo
In this case, a family of four where visiting the city and wanted to have their photo taken together on the steps in front of the imposing entrance of the university. Little did they know that they wouldn't be alone in the photo.
Everyone looks very happy in the photo as they all look towards the camera, including a little white dog that decides it wants to be part of the happy memory. Just as the family are looking at the camera with big beaming smiles, so is the dog, who looks like it belongs with them.
Perhaps the little dog is used to gatecrashing tourist photos as it's one of the countless strays in the city wandering around by the university, hoping to get food from the passing tourists.
Four-legged photobomber
Life for street dogs in the city is very hard, and their numbers are increasing as residents abandon their unwanted animals on the street. So when the dog spots the family getting ready for the photo, it decides to ingratiate itself with the tourists to get something to eat. Of course, the family didn't mind having an extra person in the photo and was sure to thank him for participating in the photo with something to eat and drink before the children placed with him.
Maybe the little dog is happy to be part of a family, even if it's just for a few minutes, which makes this photo all the more bittersweet.
