It was a day like any other at this German recycling plant. Clothes arrived from a recycling bin in town, were deposited onto the sorting belt, and slowly made their way to the press. But a shrill sound suddenly caught all of the workers’ attention.
Rescued just in time
Following the sounds, the workers started to look through the piles of clothes headed for the press and found…a Siamese cat!
It seems that the cat’s owner simply threw the poor animal into the recycling bin. This is absolutely atrocious. If you can’t look after your animal anymore, there are better ways to relinquish it.
The employees at the plant fed the poor animal some food and water and quickly called a local animal rescue. The cat was then seen by a vet, who confirmed that it was underweight but otherwise in good health. As a beautiful 1.5-year-old Siamese, this kitty was sure to find a forever home in no time!
Siamese cat is luckiest of all
Unfortunately, the cat wasn’t microchipped, making it difficult to locate his previous owner.
But the most important thing is that this cat is alive and well! In fact, for the workers at the plant, this cat was a ray of hope. It’s not the first time they find animals in piles of clothes, but more often than not, the animals have already passed…
We wish this very lucky kitty the best!
