CC the dog loves nothing more than a day out at the lake with her family.
She especially loves it when her owners throw a ball in the water for her to fetch…she is a Retriever after all!
Jumping fish catches dog’s ball
But a few weeks ago, their game of fetch took an extremely surprising turn. At first, everything was pretty normal: CC was catching the ball like a pro in the lake.
But, there came a throw where CC was not fast enough running into the water to catch the ball. And something else caught it instead. Suddenly, the Hyde family see a large fish jumping out of the water and catching the ball in its mouth!
Owners to the rescue
Stunned, the family rushed into the water to find the fish and caught it with their own hands! The poor animal had probably thought the ball was prey and was hoping for a tasty snack. Instead, the fish ended up with its mouth wide open, completely unable to close it. If the Hyde family hadn’t caught it, the fish might’ve choked!
But thankfully, CC was very eager to get her ball back from this non-invited player, so the Hyde family quickly pulled it out of the fish’s mouth. The fish was released back into the lake and CC was able to resume her game of fetch. But that’s certainly a day the Hydes will never forget!
