When this owner jumped into the lake and started thrashing his arms around, his adorable Labrador instantly thought he needed help.
The dog visibly wants to jump in after his owner, but something is holding him back.

Is the water too cold? Is he afraid of jumping on top of his human? Is he just too darn tired after a long day of swimming? Who knows! But the pup doesn’t budge…
Yet, the instinct to rescue his beloved owner doesn’t fade, so he comes up with an alternative plan. He runs back down the pier, towards the shore. And suddenly, he pounces onto the floating toy which was drifting tranquilly at the surface of the water.
One smart pooch
The smart pooch uses his weight to shift the floatie forward, getting closer and closer to his owner without ever touching the water.
In the end though, the urge is just too strong, and the pup jumps right in, swimming eagerly to join his dad (who, as it turns out, was just fine).
