They all needed new homes after a breeder decided to part with them.
An incredible team effort
Melissa is the director of PupStarz Rescue. She co-ordinated the dogs' arrival in New York and mobilised a huge network of foster homes so that every single pup could be looked after. The challenge was immense.
Taking in so many dogs at once – many of whom were seniors – meant quickly finding foster carers who could offer them safety, love and gentle care. However, thanks to the dedication of the rescue team, 39 of the Dachshunds have now found their forever homes.
Finding a forever home
While all the other dogs have been adopted, Titan is still waiting for his new start. This sweet older Dachshund isn't just looking for a roof over his head; he needs a reassuring environment and an understanding owner who is happy to let him go at his own pace.
PupStarz Rescue is continuing the search to find him a permanent home. After everything he has been through, we dearly hope Titan finds his forever family very soon, so he can enjoy a peaceful and happy retirement.
