Adelaide was brought to Sparkle Cat Rescue in North Carolina after she was found wandering the streets. She was in a sorry state, covered in fleas and mites and was extremely hungry.
Love at first sight
In the hope of finding Adeline a loving forever home, she was brought to the charity's special adoption event.
As Adeline is a very pretty cat, it wasn't surprising that people wanted to meet her. Adeline wasn't interested: She was waiting for her Mr Right.
A man named Stevie had come to the event in the hope of finding a new cat. He spotted Adeline sitting by herself, and it wasn't long before the little cat spotted him, too. She walked straight over to him and let Stevie pick her up and hold her in his arms.
Stevie carried her around as he tried to meet other felines. But when he tried to put her down, Adeline was not having any of it. Anyone that tried to pick her up was growled at. She only wanted Stevie.
Purrfect home
Stevie realised that his new feline friend was missing him so he went back to her and picked her up so they could resume their cuddles.
It was then that Stevie decided Adeline was the cat for him, and he proceeded to adopt her.
