This dog’s owner accidentally locked herself out of her own house. She feared she could be out there for hours, but her pooch gave her a helping ‘paw’.

Getting locked out happens to the best of us. But not all of us have a helpful pooch to get us out of our sticky situation.

Kaylyn Marie, from Orlando, Florida, had to rely on Sam, her Labrador, to help her get back inside her house when she found herself locked outside.

Help me, pupper!

A wooden rod had slipped behind the glass door after she stepped out of the house, making it impossible to slide the door open again!

With no one in the house, Kaylyn had no other option than to ask her dog for help. She pointed to the rod, trying to hype Sam up for a game of fetch (though her intentions were different of course)! And brilliant as Labradors are, Sam quickly caught on! He started to paw at the rod, trying to pick it up with his mouth.

One very good boy

And within a few seconds, Sam succeeded and the door was opened once again! He started running around the house with his big new stick, looking very proud of himself. And he can be! As his owner says excitedly:

“You’re such a good boy! You’re getting 10,000 treats!”
