Exhausted from their journey, they fell asleep almost immediately.
A shocking discovery
When they woke up the next morning, they realised a huge surprise was waiting for them in their garden.
A stray dog was sitting in the corner.
The couple had no idea how long the dog had been there, and none of their neighbours seemed to know either.
The dog, later named Mr. Big Baby, was not in good shape at all. He seemed completely dejected and was very quiet.
He was covered in cuts and scars. Kassidy and her partner suspected he had been used in dog fights.
However, the pooch accepted the couple's kindness and let them get close.
Coming out of his shell
The couple took him to the vet to be examined.
The vet prescribed Mr. Big Baby some antibiotics, and as soon as he started taking them, he completely transformed.
Before the medication, he was quiet, docile, and a little withdrawn. Afterwards, he absolutely blossomed.
He started to play, and his tail was constantly wagging. He even gave kisses to everyone he met!
The couple knew that Mr. Big Baby needed a special family to adopt him, and after a bit of searching, they found the perfect person. The pooch has now been adopted and is thriving in his new home, much to the relief of his rescuers.
