Chloe and her partner rushed to get the puppy to safety.
They settled him in their car while they figured out what they could do to help.
A successful rescue
The poor puppy was trembling with fear and curled up in a ball inside the car. They took the little dog home for the night, giving him a bath and some food, and tried to help him relax.
The next day, Chloe and her partner took the puppy to a rescue centre. Eleven days later, they went back to say goodbye to the little one before he was adopted.
As they held the puppy, now named Diesel, in their arms to say their goodbyes, they felt a very strong bond with him. They simply couldn't bring themselves to leave him. Chloe and her partner signed Diesel's adoption papers, and five days later, the puppy came home with them!
Is that a horse?
A year later, Diesel has grown up a lot. He has completely settled into his family. Chloe and her partner often joke that they adopted a puppy who "turned out to be a horse!", referring to Diesel's now very long legs.
Judging by his size, the dog certainly has some Greyhound in him! We are absolutely delighted with this successful rescue. We wish Diesel and his family many wonderful adventures together.
