It wasn't long before Tabitha went to bed and fell fast asleep. But at 3am, while she was in a deep sleep, the couple's dog, Wednesday, woke her up needing to go to the toilet.
A sleepy mistake
Usually, when the dog needs the toilet during the night, she wakes up Tabitha's husband. But this time, Wednesday decided otherwise. It might have been a mistake, but she didn't know it yet. Still half asleep, Tabitha dragged herself out of bed to let the dog out.
She opened the door so Wednesday could go into the garden to do her business. Then, she went to the toilet herself before heading back to bed. Tabitha doesn't even remember going back to her room. Crucially, she completely forgot to open the door again to let Wednesday back in.
A heartbreaking discovery
The poor dog whined from outside the house and even tried jumping up at the glass kitchen door to be seen. But alas, it was no use: her two humans were fast asleep. It wasn't until Tabitha's husband got up at 6am that Wednesday could finally come back inside.
When Tabitha realised her mistake, she felt terrible. Fortunately, she explained on TikTok that Wednesday didn't hold a grudge. Tabitha gave her so many treats to make up for it that the dog had more than enough. All was forgiven, and next time, it'll be Tabitha's husband on night-time door duty!
