Charlotte, who works for the RSPCA, was alerted to a stray cat living in poor conditions. According to The Dodo, the abandoned feline was living in squalor.
When she arrived, Charlotte found a cat infested with fleas and was shocked by his appearance.
An unusual face
The cat, named Sid, had a nasal deformity that gave him a very different look. The poor tomcat was struggling to breathe and urgently needed to be taken off the streets.
So, Charlotte decided to take him to Newbrook Veterinary Hospital to be examined. The vets ran some tests and discovered he also had some minor eye problems.
A happy ending
Luckily, Sid caught the eye of a family who already had a blind cat. His new owner shared: "I've had poorly cats before, so I'm prepared for this kind of situation… He's a lovely cat, an absolute sweetheart, who loves playing with Echo and Froska, and they often cuddle up together."
