Bri is a volunteer at the rescue centre.
When a litter of puppies recently arrived, she couldn't help but notice something special about one of them...
A unique look
She noticed that one of the pups, named Ace, had an unusually shaped nose. A thin line ran down the middle of his muzzle, splitting it into two distinct parts. The little dog has what's known as a bifid nose, meaning it appears to be split. This doesn't affect his sense of smell at all and is purely cosmetic.
However, Ace’s “special feature” had a real impact on his life. A week after arriving at the rescue centre, all of his siblings had been adopted, but he was left behind...
A loving foster home
Fortunately, one of the centre's partner foster families offered to take the puppy in. Inspired by “Wabi-Sabi”, a Japanese philosophy that celebrates the beauty of imperfection, his foster family decided to rename him Wabi-Sabi.
He is now thriving in his foster home. As you can see in the video below, his foster mum pampers him with relaxing baths. The puppy is receiving so much love, and we hope Wabi-Sabi will soon find his forever home.
