During his trip into the woods, Graham Whatmough's attention was suddenly caught by something: an animal was lying near a tree trunk.
It wasn't a wild animal, but a dog.
The little dog starts to growl
When Graham tried to approach the little dog, she didn't seem very pleased and started to growl. However, the young man wasn't discouraged.
He waited patiently for the animal to get used to his presence, then offered her some water. It was an excellent idea, as the dog drank a whole litre.
Very slowly, the dog began to trust him and followed Graham to his car. He gave her some food and took her to the vet. There, it was discovered that the poor creature had two broken hind legs.
She doesn't belong to anyone
Graham posted on social media about finding the dog, but no one seemed to be looking for her. So he decided to take care of the animal's rehabilitation himself, naming her Willow.
A few months later, Willow even had puppies and looked after them with great love. The pups were adopted by Graham's friends, which means he and Willow can see them regularly.
Today, Graham and Willow are inseparable and do everything together. They especially enjoy their walks in the woods.
