When we see something abnormal on our pets, it’s hard not to worry or even panic. So this vet clinic had the great idea to reassure their followers on social media.

The Morinville Veterinary Clinic, located in Alberta, Canada, was getting many calls from clients concerned about red spots that appeared on their pets’ skin.

Nothing to worry about

Vets decided to reassure as many people as possible by posting an explanation for these spots on their social media page.

According to the animal health experts, these spots are not a skin infection of any kind! They are bites caused by small flies, abundant in the spring, that usually bite animals when they lie in the grass. Though these spots are impressive to look at, they are completely harmless. They usually cause no pain or discomfort to the animal, require no treatment, and disappear naturally.

Thankful owners

The post was read and shared by thousands of worried pet owners who were instantly relieved. This helpful information will avoid them having to go to the vet clinic for nothing!

However, the vets reminded followers that if they had any other questions, they should call the clinic for more advice. Better to be safe than sorry!
