On 8th December, Kayla was out on a birthday shopping trip when her plans suddenly changed at the last minute.
She was originally supposed to be buying a new pair of shoes...
A last-minute change of heart
But fate had other plans! That day, Kayla was with her boyfriend, Cory. They were shopping in a mall when Cory asked if they could go and see the puppies in the pet shop.
It was there that they met a puppy named Oliver, or Ollie for short. They asked the staff if they could hold the little pup. As they humorously captioned their video: "Let's just hold him, we're not actually going to buy him."
Meant to be
But the exact opposite happened! Kayla and Cory were already proud owners of Milo, a five-year-old Dachshund. They had been looking to adopt another dog for a year and a half, without any luck. When they held Oliver in their arms, they instantly knew he was the one.
They did ask to see another puppy just to be sure, but deep down they knew that Ollie was the one they wanted to adopt for life! They took the puppy home, and now Oliver and Milo are inseparable. They love playing together, as you can see in the video below. What an impromptu adoption!
