At just eight weeks old, little Grady was abandoned on a pavement by his family.

Thankfully, rescuers from Pawsitive Beings, a rescue centre in the US, took him in.

He is now living with his foster family and learning what it's like to be a happy puppy.

A heartwarming meeting

What could be better than meeting other doggy friends? That's why on 9th May, Michael, the dad of a dog named Cactus, arranged a playdate with Grady. Cactus himself was also rescued from the streets after being abandoned, before finding his forever family. Michael brought Cactus to meet the puppy to help with Grady's socialisation.

The meeting was a huge success, as you can see in the video below. Grady, who looks tiny next to Cactus, walks up to him with his tail wagging happily. The two dogs sniff each other before starting to play together.

Throughout the playdate, Cactus's dad encourages them and praises them for getting on so well. In a second part of the video, Grady and Cactus meet a tortoise in the garden. Cactus is fascinated by the tortoise, so much so that Michael has to distract him. We then see Grady and Cactus heading off together for a little walk.

The two dogs clearly hit it off, and we're sure they'll soon be the best of friends. Grady is still waiting to find his forever family, and we hope he finds a human dad who is just as loving as Cactus's!
