No one wanted this one-eyed dog, then people watched her luck finally change (video)

When Natalie and her 6-year-old daughter, Sage, arrived at the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society shelter in Canada, they were very excited about adopting a dog.

Natalie and Sage met several dogs, and while all of them were incredibly sweet, one pooch in particular truly won their hearts.

Her name was Piper, a one-eyed Labrador cross.

An instant connection

The little girl and the dog hit it off immediately, playing together and becoming inseparable. When it was time to go home, Sage couldn't stop talking about Piper for the entire journey.

Natalie had also fallen for the dog; her gentle nature and her behaviour towards Sage were very promising. But the family needed to discuss it with Sage's dad before making a decision.

A new life

A few days later, the whole family returned to visit Piper. The moment the little girl got out of the car, she ran towards the dog, and Piper ran straight back to her, thrilled to see her favourite human again.

Sage's dad fell for the dog too, so they decided to give her a forever home! Piper now lives with her family, spending her days playing with Sage and napping in her own bed or on her humans' bed. What a wonderful adoption story!
