Shortly afterwards, the garage owners discovered she had given birth to kittens.
Before they could call a rescue for help, the cat disappeared with her little ones. She left behind just one kitten.
Swift rescue
Fortunately, volunteers from Sparkle Cat Rescue quickly stepped in to help the isolated kitten. They hoped the cat would return to the spot. They searched for her every day, but she was nowhere to be found. Then, recently, a familiar figure reappeared, this time with two kittens.
To everyone's surprise, the tortoiseshell cat had returned to the same garage, where she had given birth to another litter! The garage owners cared for them until the kittens were old enough to eat on their own. In October, the rescuers from Sparkle Cat Rescue returned to the scene to bring the whole family to safety.
New litter
The rescuers set up humane traps and waited patiently. Their patience paid off when they secured mum cat Lilith and kitten Julius. Then, the following day, it was Cleopatra's turn to join her family. When the siblings were reunited, they snuggled up together, seeking comfort.
At first, the kittens and their mother were a bit hesitant about being handled. But the gentle strokes from the rescuers soon put them at ease. Now, Julius and Cleopatra are thriving in foster care, growing stronger each day. Lilith is still waiting to meet her forever family, which we hope happens very soon.
