"Felix is tired", It usually didn't bode well when a dog lay alone and abandoned on the pavement with a note beside him. This was sadly all too often a typical scene when an unwanted pet was simply dumped.
But in this case, you'd be completely barking up the wrong tree if you thought that! Felix, a Golden Retriever from Kassel in Germany, was simply on strike. And his owner had left an important message that went viral straight away.
Tired Felix goes viral!
Felix showed us all how to keep calm - and go viral on Reddit in the process! He'd decided that 600 metres to the car was simply too much for that day. So what did his owner do?
He let him lie comfortably on the pavement and left a message that caused quite a few chuckles: "Felix is tired. I'm fetching the car." Complete with phone number and an urgent request: "Please only call in emergencies!" Felix knew perfectly well that his chauffeur would be back soon.
But that wasn't all. The note was properly laminated! It might rain or snow - theoretically. The proud dog owner explained later that this note came along on every summer walk, just in case Felix needed a break.
Definitely no cause for concern
While the Reddit community wished tired Felix a good rest, there were also some worried voices wondering whether the dog might be stolen. But the owner quickly reassured everyone: Felix wore a GPS tracker and lived in a village where everyone knew everyone.
The comments section made it clear: many wouldn't dare steal Felix, but a bit of cuddling and stroking? Some Reddit users would have loved to sit down beside him for that. Felix certainly had the knack of causing not just a stir in the dog world, but winning hearts, too!
