Shiba Inus go from chaos to calm the moment their dinner bowls hit the floor

At first, it looks like these dogs are going to throw themselves onto their food, and probably on their human too! But these good dogs are much better behaved than they seem…

It's dinner time and these pups are fully aware of it! As their dad starts to prepare their food bowls, they jump up excitedly, eager to chow down!

One Shiba in particular - a cream-coloured pooch - jumps up and down incessantly, catching a quick glance of his bowl every time he is in the air!

Give it a try!

Food, glorious food

Basically, the scene starts getting a little chaotic, that is, until the human puts the food bowls down on the ground.

Yep – that's right! Though these enthusiastic pooches couldn't wait to sink their teeth into their kibble, they lie down quietly and wait for their dad's instructions once the bowls are placed on the ground.

And they don't budge until they get the ok! Once they do, though, the food is gone in the blink of an eye!

A word about Shiba Inus

Though they look adorable, Shiba Inus are not for the novice dog owner! They are well-known for their independent streak, and can therefore be tough to train.

The dogs in this video were clearly not trained to ‘wait’ overnight; their owner was probably very dedicated to their education!

So as cute as they may seem, think long and hard before choosing a dog to take home with you, and make sure it's the right breed for you!
