Cockapoo Rupert wasn't given much choice when it came to picking a best friend.
Ralphie the rabbit decided he wanted to spend all his time with the little brown dog - and he wasn't taking no for an answer!
True love
The clip captures the moment Ralphie decides it's playtime, just as his human and his four-legged bestie settle down for some TV time.
Hopping around the dog and jumping onto his back, the unusual game seems to capture Rupert slightly by surprise. He follows Ralphie's movement with his gaze, but does nothing to move himself away or end the interaction.
"The dog is working out how many rabbits there are in the house", joked a viewer.
"I read rabbits run in circles around the things they like", replied another.
The sweetest game
According to experts, it's not surprising to see rabbits playing with dogs. Energetic and intelligent, they need plenty of physical and mental stimulation.
With careful introductions they can become friendly with many other species. Having a canine companion around who is willing to play means Ralphie can expend his energy doing what he loves best - hanging out with his best friend.
