Filled with neglect and mistreatment, the first few years of Olly's life were heartbreakingly lonely.
Shut outside with barely any food or water, volunteers tried everything in their power to rescue the Jack Russell cross.
A glimmer of hope
Three long years went by, and finally they saw a glimmer of hope for the little dog.
They received a report that Olly's owner had moved, leaving him behind. Neighbours rushed in and took him into their care, while he received the veterinary treatment he desperately needed.

Emaciated and under-socialised, Olly slowly started to learn about the world around him. For the first time in his life, he experienced love and care from humans.
Then, he received a foster offer in the UK, offering him a second chance at happiness.
From Italy to the UK
Olly travelled all the way from southern Italy to the UK, joining a loving foster family and their resident dog.

But unbelievably, after almost a year in foster care, Olly still hasn't found his forever home.
"He is such an amazing dog", explains his foster mum. "He loves sitting in the garden with the sun on his face and watching us potter around. Even in the winter he will find the smallest bit of sunshine and sit there".
Housetrained, crate trained and very loving, Olly would make the most wonderful companion to the right family.
Olly is a sensitive soul, and he finds the movement and activity levels of children very frightening. He is therefore looking for an adult only, experienced home, who have plenty of time and patience to help him settle.

He is a very playful boy, who loves a game of catch more than anything. Due to his lack of early life experiences, Olly can be reactive on walks, so a rural setting would be best. He could happily live with other dogs, with proper introductions.
Neutered, vaccinated and ready to meet his family, Olly would love to hear from you.
