There couldn't be a more perfect name for this beautiful kitty – who has the same markings as Tom the cat from our beloved Tom and Jerry shows!
Tom's ideal environment
Tom is an adaptable boy who will be happy as long as he's with his people, so can live in just about any location. Though he would prefer to be the only pet in the house, he would be comfortable sharing his space with children of any age – especially if they are big snugglers!
Tom will need his new home to have an enclosed garden, or catio. Indeed, Tom was tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Though health-wise, this won't entail much (he is likely to live a long and painless life), he is susceptible to transmit the disease to other cats. To prevent this, Battersea will only consider homes where Tom will be kept from venturing out too far and crossing paths with other felines.
Caring for Tom
At 2 years old, Tom has many years ahead of him! He will need to be kept mentally and physically stimulated with lots of activities provided by his new paw-rents.
Though all cats shed their double-coats, Tom's short fur will be a breeze to upkeep.
Tom, the kitty with a heart of gold
Battersea's Tom is nowhere near as malicious as Tom from Tom and Jerry! On the contrary, Tom's favourite activity is…sleeping! He is a docile and affectionate fella who just wants lots of love and cuddles from an adoring family.
