Not all great love stories are about two people - sometimes, they’re about a person and their beloved pet.

For many, our four-legged companions become more than just pets; they become our soulmates, our confidants, and the greatest loves of our lives.

In a world where more people are choosing to forgo traditional paths like marriage and children, animals are stepping in to fill a profound emotional space.

A love story like no other

Nadia found that kind of love in the form of a sweet and devoted Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Lola. At 40, with no partner or children, Nadia's life had revolved around work and social outings - until Lola came along and showed her the depth of unconditional love.

“Lola was my soulmate. From the moment I picked her up in October 2010, my life changed forever,” she shares.

In 2018, feeling lost, she took a leap of faith, embarking on a sabbatical with Lola by her side. Traveling through Europe in a van together, the duo shared unforgettable moments. By 2020, she knew she never wanted to be without Lola, leading her to create WagIt, a business dedicated to ensuring dogs and their humans could always enjoy life together.

A powerful legacy

On February 11th, 2024, Lola passed away, leaving behind a lifetime of love and cherished memories.

“She wasn’t just my dog—she was my heart, my co-pilot, and my greatest adventure.”

As Nadia travels once more, she honours the bond she shared with her beloved companion, proving that love, in all its forms, never truly fades. Here’s to Lola, and to the love that lasts forever.
