So far, the California wildfires have taken at least 10 lives, and destroyed over 10,000 homes.
Firefighters are working around the clock to stop the spread of the fires despite dry conditions and heavy winds.
A viral video from inside the flames
Two days ago, a video of two men stuck inside their LA home with their dog went viral.
The video is filmed by one of the men stuck inside the house. Enormous fires can be seen raging outside as the two men try to remain calm inside their still untouched home. One of the men suggests opening a window while the other responds, "Don't open anything." They also assure each other the gas is turned off, to avoid setting off an explosion.
Alongside the men is a dog, what seems to be a Lab or Weimaraner mix. The man filming turns to the visibly anxious dog and says: "It's gonna be ok, you're gonna be ok."
What happened to the men and their dog in the viral Palisades fire video?
While there have been no official reports, social media seems to confirm that the two men and their dog somehow made it out of the house safely.
According to Reddit, the house was protected by some sort of suppression system which was flooding the roof and walls with water to prevent it from catching with fire. Apparently, emergency services were also en route to rescue them while the video was being filmed.
We hope we can soon see footage of that dog and his owners happy and safe very soon.
