Anthony Rogers had never been a man of great material wealth, but with his four-legged friend Bobo with him, he’d never considered himself poor either.
The struggling artist from Tennessee has been homeless for some time, but always ensures that Bobo is fed and well cared for.
A huge loss
And so, when he woke up one morning to find Bobo missing, he was very distraught.
He enlisted the help of some friends and had flyers put around the town, but as the days turned into weeks and Bobo was nowhere to be seen, Anthony began to lose all hope.
And then, a miracle occurred. A shelter worker noticed that one of the dogs recently brought in bore a striking resemblance to the pup in the posters.
A very emotional reunion
She called the number listed on the flyer and got through to a friend of Anthony’s who immediately alerted Anthony and he made his way to the shelter.
If anyone was in any doubt that this was Anthony’s dog, then the emotional reunion would quickly have put their mind at rest.
Anthony exclaims, “Hey Buddy,” and stretches out his arms as the dog, with tail furiously wagging, rushes into the man’s arms.
Bobo leaps about excitedly, licking his owner and showing that it wasn’t just Anthony who was upset to be parted from his pal.
