His latest ordeal occurred just days after being adopted when he was found alone on an embankment in the English Channel.
Passersby noticed him lying there for an entire day and took him to a nearby veterinary clinic for safety.
Abandoned again
The shelter, which had entrusted Paco to what was supposed to be his forever family, was devastated by the news. Despite initial promises of care and love, Paco was left to fend for himself once again.
The shelter's president travelled over 1,800 km to bring him back and a formal complaint has been filed against the adopter for abandonment.
Hope for Paco
"He should have been loved and pampered," the shelter wrote on social media, expressing their deep disappointment.
Despite his past, Paco's future remains hopeful. He is now back in safe hands, and the shelter is determined to find him the loving family he deserves, one that will offer him the care and security that has been denied him so far.
