Dog rescue Teluma's Dream sent two puppies from Spain to their forever homes in Liverpool 2.5 years ago. But now, they face being returned to the pound.

Luca and Nacho are two brothers. As puppies, they had been abandoned at a pound in northern Spain, without their mother. That's when dog rescue organisation Teluma's Dream stepped in.

Teluma's Dream rescues dogs from pounds in Spain and sends them to foster or forever homes in the UK.

A hopeful start

Teluma’s founder took Luca and Nacho in and fostered them until they were four months old. They quickly found their forever home and went to live with their new family in Liverpool, UK, 2.5 years ago. They’ve been there ever since, and have known lots of love and affection. Devastatingly, they are now being returned to the rescue.

This is through no fault of their own, but sadly their owner has had a change in circumstance and is no longer in a position to keep them.

Back to square one

The boys are the most loving, sweet and cuddly pair. They love their walks and time outside, and Nacho particularly loves his ball. Luca (tan and black), is the more boisterous, energetic of the two, while his brother Nacho (tricolour) is a bit more timid and reserved. Luca has learnt how to sit, lie down and give his paw. Nacho on the other hand has only got as far as sit! Both dogs are house trained and they currently share their space with two small dogs.

Because Teluma's has no kennel space in the UK, the brothers now face the prospect of having to return to kennels in Spain, if a foster home or forever home isn’t found quickly. Having lived in a home their whole lives, this would be devastating for them - they've been through enough, don't you think? They’re currently in the Liverpool area, but they can be moved anywhere in England or Wales if necessary.

The rescue would love for them to be rehomed together, but the dogs can be separated if this would help them to find their forever homes quicker.
